About this deal

Said the Owl playlist on our YouTube channel for more videos made by Tim Hopgood to accompany the exhibition. All ages will appreciate this beautiful production which explores the beauty of the daytime world and all of its vibrant colours, building on each scene from the book.

I liked this book as it had a nice story to it whilst also providing a clear range of colours for baby to look at. Said the Owl now – which is to say, several times a week – I’ll pay special attention to those patterned clouds and be reminded how a clever mind can see creative potential in the most mundane objects. From the warm, pink glow of dawn through to a day filled with the bright colours of green leaves, blue sky, white clouds and, finally, a stunning rainbow —‘WOW!The information included in the What’s On data has been supplied to VisitScotland by Data Thistle and is subject to changes. Find different pictures of objects / animals and sort them according to the colours that you can see. On each page she is introduced to a different colour and at the end of the day she sees her first rainbow.

That is not at all common for my 18 month old who loves flitting around the room while I read or taking the book from me and having his merry way with it (which usually involves turning the pages too fast or taking the book for walks around the house). All of our Front of House staff undergo disability awareness training and Dementia Friend Training and will be pleased to assist you should you require any information or help. Little owl is the only character in the book and thestorystarts by explaining that owls stayawake during thenight before it introduces little owl’s very ‘un-owl-like’ behaviour. But one curious little owl decides to stay awake all day, instead of all night, and discovers a world bursting with colour!
