About this deal

That could have proved disastrous on a big-budget production like this, but director Doug Liman has always thrived on that kind of chaos, and he was only too happy to develop significant parts of the film on the fly. Dying again, the cycle repeats itself and it becomes apparent that he is reliving the same day over and over again. You can actually hear things zip overhead before Cage blows it out of the water, or the sound of falling debris raining from above.

It turns out that Rita was exactly like Cage back at Verdan, which explains why she was able to singlehandedly take out the Mimic defenses (LOOOOOOOOOOTS of practice). Released on July 5th, it has a new Atmos track and comes with all the bonus feature that had been released on the prior Blu-ray. Specular highlights offer a more noteworthy improvement, furnishing the explosive action with a tighter, more revealing bloom and a snappy, lifelike polish on metallic surfaces while the eerie glow of the Mimics is narrower to expose some of the finer aspects of their bodies.Sadly, in spite of how incredibly amazing this object-based mix is, there is one area where it sorely drops the ball when compared to its DTS-HD Master Audio counterpart.

WONKA — The Magical Adventure of a Young Chocolate Maker Comes Home on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on February 27th! We reviewed this Region free UK Ultra HD Blu-ray release on a JVC-DLA N5 Ultra HD 4K projector and a Panasonic DP-UB9000 Dolby Vision/HDR10 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. And then again, eventually realizing that he’s caught in a time loop, destined to continue his impossible mission unless he can manage to somehow survive the sandy slaughter.Blu-ray: English, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Icelandic, Norwegian, Spanish.

One the Edge with Doug Liman: Follow the passion-fuelled director as he confronts the pressures of making a futuristic war film look real. Then I saw the theatrical trailer when the release was only a few weeks out and a trip to the theater was set for opening weekend. This is a stylized film and its two very different “worlds” exhibited excellent depth and dimension. It’s nuanced, dynamic and balanced, with room coupling bass response that never caused me to question it.Training alongside warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), his skills slowly evolve, and each battle moves them one step closer to defeating the enemy in this intense action thriller. Even in home video the marketing falls off the deep end as the name of the movie is barely visible on the case and the tag line "Live, Die, Repeat" takes center stage. All disc reviews at High-Def Digest are completed using the best consumer HD home theater products currently on the market. We were all debating on how better it could have been marketed or released with the studio even going by a tagline more than its title when it first came to home video.
