About this deal

It has many of the features one would look for in a monitor headphone – closed-back, over-ear design with Beyerdynamic reputation behind it. They recommend the 80-ohm version for general studio use and the 32-ohm model for mobile devices like laptops and smartphones. The Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO and the Beats Solo Pro Wireless have different strengths, and you may prefer one over the other.

Thanks to the wide frequency response and exceptional audio fidelity, they allow you to record with confidence – you’re guaranteed to hear your mixes, masters, and edits in accurate detail. I have a set of decades-old AKG K240s, given to me by vintage audio guru Gordon Sauck of Innovative Audio, that to this day sound really good. Then, there's its V-shaped tuning which, despite not being a tonality I normally seek or gravitate to, works quite well in this headphone and I can enjoy without EQ because neither of the elevated registers is outrageously exaggerated; it's surprisingly balanced-sounding with present mids (not very common for a v-shaped headphone). Closed reference headphones designed for critical music and sound monitoring in an open environment. Additionally, the Beyerdynamic have a better sound profile, notably because of their closed-back design, which helps with a fuller-sounding bass.

The Sennheiser are also a bit more comfortable, but they don't have the nice and sturdy build of the Beyerdynamic. Thanks to the Tesla technology technology developed in Heilbronn, the DT 1770 PRO offers even finer resolution with precise and powerful bass. However, the Edition models have a slightly softer contact pressure for comfortable music enjoyment at home, while the Pro headphones sit a little tighter on the head to stay in place even during faster movements in everyday studio use. However, I am sure that some people would identify some traits in the sound of the 770s and 880s as being similar and that the Amirons are the more different headphone of the three, but I am describing my subjective experience here and am not trying to be objective. The soft, over-ear pads get you close to the audio drivers without sacrificing any of the relaxing fit.

As is always the case with Beyerdyamic headphones, I feel like I must also mention that the pads are some of the comfiest out there--the velour they use one these pads is undoubtedly second to none. Studio professionals, musicians, avid listeners, gamers, and streamers deserve nothing short of perfect audio performance from their headphones.

The DT 770 Pro accurately reproduces the entire frequency range, lending power and precision to the low end while also delivering clarity and detail in the treble range.

The DT770 has long been a legend in the music industry thanks to its robustness as well as superb soundstage, now in a lower impendence that allows it to open up to more users tan ever before. These headphones are designed for optimum listening quality in situations where open headphones would be inappropriate, the lightweight diaphragm, which is around one-fifth the mass of that used in other Beyerdynamic designs, gives high-end transparency that challenges that of electrostatic headphones. The version I got is rated at 80 ohms impedance, but the same headphones are also available in a 32-ohm version (for use with portable gear) and a 250-ohm version (for use by audio enthusiasts who are convinced that high-impedance headphones are better). Admittedly when they're fresh out of the box they're a little on the clampy side, but the headband does ease up after about a week of use making them quite comfy.Because the DT series all use the same (or similar-enough) shapes and sizes for the ear cups, you can pick up either the leatherette or velour pads for just about any model of DT XX0 headphones from Beyerdynamic, and they should fit the DT 770 Pro of any impedance. On the upside, they're noticeably more durable than the Audio-Technica, thanks to their full-metal frame and large ear cups.
