About this deal

Compatible with A1 Non Combustible Cavity trays with integrated stop ends and A1 Non Combustible Stainless S teel Weeps to complete the installation. If you are going to choose this method to vent your unit, be careful to consider which wall you choose to drill into.

I have just bought a DeLonghi Portable Air-conditioner, it was supplied with a vent hose (designed I believe, for venting out of a window) and I wondered whether anyone can tell me where I can get a kit to fix a permanent vent hole in the wall (presumably would need a new hose. Telescopic Wall Vents – A1 Non-Combustible Telescopic Wall Ducting Kit Terminal Vents for attachment to the building’s rectangular HVAC and extract ducting. They are easier to seal than swinging doors as their opening is easy to cover, and so kits to set this up are readily available. You must use a roof window caulking kit (Velux) which is neither aesthetic nor practical to install.Outside, I also fixed the grid to the pipe with the aluminum tape but it came off after a few days due to the heat, so I replaced the tape with small rivets.

Most external AC vents feature flaps or covers to prevent items from entering the vent and blocking it, as well as reducing excess loss of heat. I'd like to have wall holes and fixtures (vents) fitted in a couple rooms instead so I can just wheel it between rooms and plug the hose up to wall.

Then transfer these measurements onto the plexiglass, measuring a second time to ensure that they are correct, and cut the panel out. The problem is the hose needs to go out of the window and I don’t have a small casement type window only a large one and due to ill health I sometimes go to bed in the afternoon but when I try using the unit for a while to cool the room down it’s struggling as bedroom is south facing and with this very hot weather the heat is coming in the window even with a curtain pulled round it. If you need to easily remove hot air or gases from extractor fans, air conditioning, or tumble dryers, you need a ducting kit.

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Natural or passive products rely on natural airflow patterns or work in conjunction with mechanical ventilators to provide clean and fresh air. At PRA Air Conditioning, we offer expert installation services for both domestic household and commercial air conditioning systems for a variety of scenarios. If yours has multiple you might have more reservations about cutting the additional holes required to set it up. These spaces are often designed with drop ceilings and can get stuffy in hot weather due to the large number of people working within them. We supply wall vent kits for extractor fans, tumble dryer venting kits, window vent kits, and 150mm ducting.

I can turn the air conditioning on with the window closed and when I don't need it, I just have to put the plug back on the wall. It is worth noting that these units are often quite heavy and bulky, making it difficult to move them around your space. If it is too small it can compromise your household cooling system and result in inefficient air conditioning. it isn’t perfect (we have a very awkward velux so had to use a kit that wasn’t made for our window) but does a good enough job if there’s one that would fit your window. If your airconditioner didn't come with all those bits I'm sure that something suitable would be available either from the manufacturer or a builder's merchant.
