These counting cubes are an ideal hands-on maths mastery resource for helping young children ages 5 and up build a range of early years maths skills. Some cubes are difficult to snap together; others hold too loosely together so come apart when building.
All of my kids have loved building with them and I’ve ended up using them more as an incentive to do schoolwork than I have used them as a math manipulative/teaching tool. I really like these blocks however I wish they were less hard plastic and more of a rubbery material. Great for supporting the development of fluency around the four operations (+ - x ÷) across Key Stage 1; whilst the teaching of fractions, percentages and ratio in Key Stage 2 can also be supplemented using Unifix® cubes. These maths cubes link together on all sides and can be used for helping children engage with a variety of maths concepts in the classroom and at home.Supplied with an activity guide for inspirational ideas for fun mathematical activities for a range of different age groups. Maths cubes are generally interlocking plastic cubes, brightly coloured that are used to show odd/even numbers, patterns, graphs, place value, addition, subtraction and multiplication.
