About this deal

Flying Mario, Boo Mario, and Spring Mario are the only power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy that can be worn off and deactivated by a Launch Star. This is similar to the Wing Cap ability from Super Mario 64, except the player has much more control and Mario can fly the whole time, rather than having to gain momentum first. As Flying Cape Mario is kept company in the air by his best friend Yoshi: from now on both of them can fly through the living room and playroom with the rotors fixed to their backs. Mario Kart™ takes off: in the quadrocopter he can enjoy his flight with a cage protecting the rotors, a 6-axis revolution system and aerial stability.

Flying Mario does not appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2, however, it is still in the game's coding and can be used with hacks. As someone who loves movement in the mario games and loves the freedom of flying in games like SMW and SM3, I hope there is and they havent shown it yet, but I am a bit skeptical because I think they would've mentioned in the direct.

GHz technology makes simultaneous, frequency-independent driving with several flying machines possible. One thing is certain: Super Mario has been a cult figure for decades and still provides pure fun and bright children's eyes. So I noticed during the presentation yesterday that they did not show or mention any flying power ups such as the Tanooki Leaf or the Cape Feather. Pressing once while flying causes Mario to stop flying, do a somersault in the air, and fall to the ground slowly.

When Luigi gets it he changes into a black hat and overalls an he keeps his green shirt, like Mario.
