About this deal

Explore the breathtaking Valley, take in the beautiful scenery while at the same time gathering clues to help determine the final location of the Artifact. It sent me and my husband crazy how totally irritating her damn voice was and the relief when she wasn't on the screen.

It’s a haunted house film, but the main focus of the story isn’t the haunting, it’s more of a detective story following a breadcrumb trail, occasionally interrupted by ghostly presences that really wish she’d pay more attention to the things they’re scrawling on walls and mirrors. Trista Robinson has a sort of little-girl voice that’s initially really grating, and a habit of not only acting like every creak in the house is a serial killer sneaking in, but of then walking around in the house, in the dark, with her mouth hanging open and a gormless look on her face like she’s a teenager in a Halloween movie just waiting to get murdered. Directed by the team of Brian and Laurence Avenet-Bradley - and filmed in the house that they live in - Echoes of Fear follows Alysa, who has inherited her grandfather's home. This is another film where to give too much away would be to do the film a disservice, because after all this the recommendation is going to be that this is a film worth seeing. In fact, to her credit, her acting is completely credible and her character is both likable and relatable. It’s uneven as hell, the opening far too slow, but it redeems itself by the end, presenting a horror film that doesn’t just follow the same old tropes (other than the jump scares) and instead tries to do something new. After inheriting her grandfather's house, a young woman must confront the mystery of his sudden death and the evil that hides inside. An annoying lead actress leads us through a story about an old man dying in the shower; his granddaughter and boyfriend move into the property, only to find weird neighbours and even weirder events taking place in the home.

As she puts it up for sale, she starts to sense that there's a presence in the home that is not from our world. I didn’t expected that as I am a scary movie lover and the actors are all new to me but they are a bunch of good actors. Acting was horrendous which felt like the actors were reading off a script rather than getting into character to have a dialogue and this wasn't helped by the heroin's incredibly annoying, mousy voice.Whenever it looks as if the there is a rational explanation for the events things turn weirder, Alysa has strange visions and dreams, she sees creatures.
