About this deal
Lei non è affatto intimidita da quest'uomo, non solo perchè è sempre ammanettato durante le loro sedute, ma perchè fa parte del suo lavoro capire le persone come lui, capire cosa gli passa per la testa mentre fanno queste cose orribili.
And I think the sharp tone in which Wolfe delivered this story makes it such a perfect and enjoyable read. I really did enjoy this book, it was one I found myself racing towards the end to find out what happens but at the same time not really wanting it to end. This story was brilliant in every sense of the word and the author did something so extremely different.Man was running laps around my brain and I was just left staring at him while he caused chaos up there. The pieces of the puzzle, the chemistry, the consequences, the unanswered questions have me moving onto book 2 ASAP! The characters are well fleshed out, their relationship is messed up but was so fun to read about 🤣.
I liked watching her narcissistic, I-will-always-be-the-last-man-standing tendencies rise to the surface, but aside from that she was all over the place.
Yet he finds justice and mercy in his actions- because all of his “victims” have choices- that’s how he offers clemency. I’ve never read anything like this and even though I’m confused as hell right now and livid with the cliffhanger, I still have to applaud her in thinking outside the box and making this story so damn addictive. I think it was Annika Martin (yes, the author), who first brought this book to my attention in her newsletter.
