Live-wire-direct Digital Clock with 5 x Separate Multiple Alarms Stop Watch Timer Pill Reminder Pocket
About this deal
This clock is the only analog option we tested to have a snooze button, and it was easy to set the alarm (though not an exact science, since you’re moving an analog hand instead of entering a digit). Dual independent alarms: Many dedicated DAB radio alarm clocks allow you to set multiple alarms independently, which is ideal if you and your partner wake up at different times or if you want to set a later time for the weekend. Available in a black or white finish, this mains-powered radio alarm clock features DAB, DAB+ and FM tuners. If noise alone isn't enough to wake you, the Sonic Alert Sonic Bomb vibrates intensely to help get you out of bed. Whatever your preference – natural light alarm clocks, digital alarm clocks and retro radio alarm clocks – there's a look and sound for you.
Similarly, many alarm clocks now offer a buzzer or radio alarm that starts quietly and gradually increases in volume for a gentler effect. The Hatch Rest+ is an all-in-one device that works as a night light, white noise machine, monitor, and alarm. Normally, these calming alarms are reserved for sunrise alarm clocks (like our winner, the Philips Wake-Up Light HF3520); however, the Loftie was the one non-sunrise clock we tested that had this critical feature. The use of varying time-based alarms, such as an elegant sound at a low volume at first, and a loud alarm sound if you fail to wake up, provides a comfortable and secure wake-up experience. The alarm does increase in volume and speed, and we don’t know what kind of person could sleep through that bed shaker if they put it underneath their pillow. This will also turn on a nightlight for a few seconds if you want to check the time when it’s dark without disturbing your rest too much. Setting multiple alarms was a breeze, and after connecting the clock to an app, the Loftie pulled the exact time from the internet, meaning we didn’t have to set it manually.
While there are plenty of fun and helpful features of the Jall, one of the most striking aspects is its design. For an even gentler wake up, we also recommend the Philips SmartSleep Connected, which mimics a natural sunrise for a pleasant wake up.
Programming the alarm was simple and intuitive, even though you have to pick several settings, including your time, brightness, sound and volume.
It reduces alertness and performance, which impairs your memory and reduces your ability to retain information, think and process your thoughts. Whenever you set or change your alarm, you have the option to set two other alarms as well, so you can have three different alarms active at once. And if you aren’t a fan of any of those options, you can hook it up to your phone and use it as a Bluetooth speaker so you can fall asleep to your favorite podcast. You can control the alarms from within the app, as opposed to some other ones that makes the Android alarm set them.
Not all radio alarm clocks are equal, and even dedicated ones supposedly designed purely for bedside use can perform their task poorly. However, the control buttons and on-screen menus are incredibly fiddly and not very intuitive, so it takes a while to master the settings. And if you like falling asleep to the radio as well as waking up to it, look for a radio alarm clock with a sleep timer that turns the radio off after a set period of time.
Instead, it plays a garbled, arrhythmical set of beeps, buzzes and pings that are simply too awful to ignore.
If you've ever gone to set the alarm on your phone only to find out the next morning you punched 6:30 into your calculator instead, it might be time to switch to an actual alarm clock (don't worry, we've all been there).
